About this grant
The Council on Foundations, a membership association of 2,100 grantmaking organizations worldwide, focuses on government relations and advocacy, communications, standard-setting, learning opportunities, research, legal expertise, and convenings to assist the philanthropic sector in advancing the common good. Through the Diversity and Inclusiveness Program, the grantee has begun to develop a diverse pipeline of trustee and executive-level talent coming into the sector; provided outreach and communications about the importance of diversity; created educational tools that promote diversity and inclusion as part of effectiveness; and supported a fieldwide collaboration designed to increase diversity across the field. This grant will provide partial support to the grantee to continue the important work of promoting diversity and inclusion in the field of philanthropy.
