About this grant

Founded in 1978, the Indian Law Resource Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of indigenous peoples in North, Central, and South America. During the last grant period, the grantee made important progress on indigenous peoples safeguard policy at international financial institutions and on building dialogue between Amazon indigenous networks and public financial institutions. During the next grant period, the grantee will focus on strengthening the indigenous peoples safeguard at international financial institutions, and advancing a stand-alone indigenous safeguard at the Brazilian Development Bank.
