About this grant
The program goal is to establish the International Centre of Excellence for Community Schools in Europe as a focal point for knowledge exchange among practitioners from around the world. Based in the United Kingdom and with broad experience in promoting the community schools agenda, ContinYou will support the establishment of the centre during the grant period. Program activities will include establishing governance structures and procedures, hiring key staff, and elaborating an initial development strategy. The aim of the centre will be to provide a range of consulting and other support services to its anticipated membership and more broadly to community educators. It will also provide a forum for exchange of experience and methodological materials through planned publications, conferences, and specialized workshops. Established in 2003, ContinYou offers learning opportunities in the United Kingdom to people who have gained the least from formal education and training.
