About this grant
Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition is a 30-year-old, broad-based community organization. The organization builds power through relational organizing and issue campaigns that recruit and train individuals, as well as institutional members, to win concrete victories that improve the lives of the residents of the Northwest Bronx. Elsewhere in New York, other community organizations are also building influence to achieve the aspirations of local residents. The purpose of this grant is to provide support for a one-year planning effort to bring together staff and key leaders from more than a dozen organizations for shared training, professional development, and research in order to explore the possibility of developing a network of community organizations that can work in a coordinated fashion.
