American Federation of Teachers Innovation Fund

About this grant

This grant will support the American Federation of Teachers Educational Foundation in its efforts to encourage the involvement of teachers in education reform processes. Specifically, this grant will provide support to the grantee to launch an innovation fund that will provide financial and organizational resources for educator- and union-generated ideas that seek to both raise student achievement and build partnerships with administrators, parents, and community and business leaders. This project also directly supports Building Community Schools and Partnerships, one of three strategies the American Federation of Teachers is pursuing to improve public education.
