About this grant
The Center for International Environmental Law was founded in 1989 to strengthen international environmental law, policy, and management. This grant will support activities that promote and seek stronger implementation of sound environmental and social policies and practices at international financial institutions. Over the next grant period, the grantee will continue its work to ensure strong environmental and social standards at the World Bank Group as well as the United Nation’s Green Climate Fund. Over the last two years, the grantee has been a strong voice calling for clear and consistent standards that reflect international best practice. They have built support for maintaining and strengthening World Bank Group safeguards among key policymakers.
