About this grant
The Gordon Institute of Business Science, based at the University of Pretoria, was established in 1999 and has since grown into one of South Africa’s leading business schools. The Centre for Leadership and Dialogue at the Gordon Institute of Business Science works with leaders interested in social change. The centre hosts dialogues on complex issues facing South Africa and the world through the Network for Social Entrepreneurs. The network implements the Social Entrepreneurship Program and other programs that inspire leaders to think creatively about solutions to social problems. Past support from Mott assisted with training and facilitation of a series of dialogues on various topics related to social change and the creation of platforms for engagement and partnerships between nonprofits and businesses. This grant will support the grantee to continue hosting dialogues and seminars on topics related to building local philanthropy, raising the voice of South African civil society, and promoting an asset-based approach to community development.
