About this grant
SGS Consulting is a consultancy firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has been in operation for over 15 years. The grantee has provided consultancy services to organizations including United Nations agencies, regional economic commissions across Africa, civil society organizations, and bilateral and multilateral agencies. The Technical Support and Dialogue Platform project began in 2010 to provide technical support to civil society organizations in South Africa and offer them opportunities to convene around issues of common interest. Past support enabled the grantee to provide organizational development and other institution building support to civil society organizations including providing opportunities for them to network, hosting dialogues on topical and relevant issues, and assisting organizations to improve on their delivery of programs. The grantee also engaged government, the private sector, and academic institutions to explore linkages and collaborations with nonprofit organizations in the implementation of development programs. This grant will continue support to SGS Consulting to provide technical assistance to civil society organizations to deal with various institutional capacity challenges.
