About this grant

This grant will support the Genesee County Land Bank Authority’s planning and neighborhood revitalization activities. The grantee developed and now operates a nationally renowned program to reclaim vacant and abandoned property and restore it to productive use. This function is overseen by a professional planning and development team that plans, coordinates, and implements neighborhood interventions using a variety of tools and strategies. The grantee’s activities simultaneously enhance the quality of neighborhoods in Flint and promote citizen stewardship by engaging neighborhood groups in planning the disposition and use of vacant properties and structures, and maintaining vacant lots.
