About this grant

This grant will provide support for the Clinton Global Initiative, a project of the William J. Clinton Foundation. The foundation is a public charity established in 1997 by the 42nd president of the United States. The mission of the foundation is to strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence. In 2005, President Clinton established the Clinton Global Initiative to turn ideas into action and to help the world move beyond the current state of globalization to a more integrated global community of shared benefits, responsibilities, and values. By gathering world leaders from a variety of backgrounds, the initiative creates a unique opportunity to channel the capacities of individuals and organizations to invoke change. The 2010 annual meeting will take place September 21-23 in New York City.
