About this grant
The project goal is to support the Centre for Research, Documentation and Publication to develop its organizational and programmatic capacities for work on justice and reconciliation in Kosovo and the wider region over the long term. The grantee’s mission is to gather documentation, conduct research, disseminate information and analysis, and raise public awareness about the legacies of conflict and human rights abuses in Kosovo. During 2012-2013, the grantee improved the capacity of civil society organizations and government institutions to implement transitional justice approaches and promote reconciliation in Kosovo. Through research and consultations with stakeholders, the grantee planned its longer-term, programmatic operational strategies. During the grant period, the grantee will carry out in-depth research on key issues impacting transitional justice in Kosovo, including the fate of missing persons, preserving state archives, public apologies and commemorations, and lustration and vetting mechanisms. The grantee will also address its organizational and programmatic development needs, including diversifying funding, building new partnerships, and training staff. The grantee is based in Pristina.
