About this grant
The legal, policy, and public education dimensions of the Deepwater Horizon spill are more prominent now than they were in the weeks following the disaster. Participating in such policy debates requires a high level of technical expertise and policy acumen, but many of the engaged nongovernmental organizations lack such capacity. With this grant, the Institute on Water Resources Law and Policy, a unit of Tulane University, will provide technical assistance of this type to the environmental community, other stakeholders, and the relevant government agencies themselves.
