About this grant
Through this project, the Sierra Club Foundation will seek to strengthen the World Bank’s environmental and social standards, as well as encourage investment in projects that provide modern energy services to poor, rural communities in developing countries, commonly referred to as energy access. Such projects can also reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize environmental harm. This grant increase will cover costs associated with the planning and facilitation of a meeting to address innovative financing mechanisms to address energy access in developing countries.
