About this grant
The project goal is to strengthen the capacity of nongovernmental organizations in Central and Eastern Europe and Russia to access modern information and communication technologies and use them effectively to increase the impact of their work. To this end, Fundacja TechSoup will build a strong infrastructure for distributing technology products to nongovernmental organizations in the region in partnership with leading, local nonprofits and provide technical assistance to communities of practitioners utilizing technology for civic activism. Fundacja TechSoup was established in 2009 in Warsaw, Poland. Together with its sister organization, TechSoup Global, the grantee facilitates the donation and distribution of technology products from over 40 leading companies, including Microsoft, Adobe, and Cisco. The two organizations have brokered over seven million donations in 35 countries with a value of more than $2.1 billion. In the past two years, the grantee organized a series of online and offline events for technology-oriented nongovernmental organizations, including a two-day learning event in Bosnia and Herzegovina with more than 140 participants.
