About this grant

The project goal is to build the capacity of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation to stimulate increased corporate and individual philanthropy in Serbia and to be a leading foundation in the country’s emerging philanthropic sector. Specifically, during the next two years, the grantee will strengthen leadership and management capacities within the foundation; further engage the board in strategic planning; and develop a long-term sustainability strategy, including the possibility of establishing an endowment. During 2013-2014, the grantee expanded its individual and corporate donor base, developed its grantmaking capacities, worked with an organizational development expert, increased its involvement in the Serbian Philanthropic Forum and other philanthropic networks nationally and regionally, and strengthened its youth empowerment programming. The grantee was established in 2007 and carries out a range of development programs targeting youth, refugees, and internally displaced people. The fund is based in Belgrade, Serbia.
