Developing the London Community Foundation

About this grant

The program goal is to build the capacity of an important, London-wide community foundation to raise funds from wealthy individuals and the business community. To this end, the Mott Foundation supports salary costs related to the London Community Foundation’s development activities. Due to increased development efforts initiated in 2011, the grantee attracted seven new individual and four new corporate fundholders at a higher level than in the past, increased the amounts of existing individual and corporate fundholders, and attracted 51 new individual donors to its 500 for London initiative. Additionally, the grantee raised its profile during the past year through renaming, rebranding, and launching the foundation in high profile events. In 2012-2013, the grantee will continue to attract new fundholders and donors; improve donor care systems; and build the profile of the organization through events, marketing, and social media.
