About this grant
Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York founded the Poverty Initiative in 2004 as an effort to bridge gaps between community organizations, religious communities, and the academy with the goal of better understanding and addressing the causes of poverty in the United States by developing leaders to work on issues in low-income communities. This grant provides partial support for the year-long training program.
