About this grant
This grant will enable Career Alliance, Inc., to continue the Jobs for America’s Graduates program at two Flint area high schools. The program is the nation’s largest school-to-work model aimed at preventing dropouts among young people who are most at risk. In 2012, the grantee provided 130 students from Flint Northern and Northwestern high schools with a series of year-round classroom and work-based learning experiences such as academic and counseling supports, skills training, and summer employment. Recommended support will allow Career Alliance, Inc., to strengthen and expand the Jobs for America’s Graduates program at Flint Southwestern and Northwestern high schools.
