About this grant

This grant will enable Jobs for the Future to continue to support two critical activities of its Foundation-supported Breaking Through Initiative. Breaking Through is a community college initiative aimed at expanding effective strategies to assist low-skilled adults to prepare for and succeed in occupational and technical degree programs. Currently, there are more than 41 community colleges in 22 states implementing various strands of Breaking Through. Recommended support will allow the grantee to host a national convening of Breaking Through sites and provide continued support for Breaking Through activities in Michigan via the Center for Student Success at the Michigan Community College Association.
