About this grant
This is the fourth and final in a series of grants that supports the establishment of an endowed faculty chair at Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. With this grant increase, the C. S. Mott Foundation Chair on Community Foundations endowment will be fully funded, with the Foundation’s total contribution of $1.5 million unlocking an equivalent match from Indiana University to bring the endowment to its minimum initial $3 million level as stipulated by the university. This will be one of 20 planned endowed chairs at this school. This faculty position will enable Indiana University to deepen the knowledge base about community foundations that will in turn serve to produce better outcomes in local communities. Indiana University is a major multicampus public research institution, grounded in the liberal arts and sciences, and a world leader in professional, medical, and technological education.
