About this grant
The University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment seeks to protect the Earth’s resources and promote a sustainable society through research, education, and public outreach. With prior Mott support, the grantee released a report assessing staff and board diversity within Great Lakes freshwater organizations. While progress has been made, more remains to be done for environmental groups to reflect the communities they serve. The grantee will develop an online platform to connect environmental groups with multicultural candidates of all levels of experience. The grantee will also launch a graduate fellowship program with a focus on the Great Lakes region.
