About this grant
Through a partnership between the Cranbrook Educational Community’s Institute of Science and the Flint Community Schools, Flint students in grades K-12 will receive supplemental educational opportunities in science that correspond with grade-level content. Programming offered by the grantee will include access to the institute’s staff, collections, and resources; an opportunity for Flint families to spend time at the institute, including transportation; unlimited use annual membership passes to the institute and affiliated museums; rich, in-depth professional development for faculty; and paid internship opportunities for 11th- and 12th-grade students.
