About this grant
This grant provides general purpose support to Court Street Village Non-Profit Housing Corporation to improve central city neighborhoods adjacent to downtown Flint. The destabilizing effects of the water crisis on Flint’s housing markets requires that neighborhoods enact comprehensive strategies for neighborhood stabilization and revitalization. Court Street Village Non-Profit Housing Corporation will fulfill this role through pursuit of its Neighborhood Investment for Community Enhancement initiative, which engages neighborhood residents and outside agencies in blight elimination, financial investment, crime prevention, and landlord/tenant support.
