About this grant
The program goal is to develop community philanthropy and community foundations in Romania. To this end, the Romanian Federation of Community Foundations will strengthen its institutional capacity and develop high quality services for its members; support the development of new community foundations and expand its membership; create partnerships with relevant institutions in the civil society, public, and business sectors; increase the level of resources available for the development of the community foundation field; and increase the visibility of the Romanian community foundation movement on the national and international levels. The federation was established in April 2012. All seven community foundations that currently exist in Romania are members of the federation. Since its establishment, the grantee has developed its long-term vision for the development of the community foundation field in Romania, created a branding and communications strategy, and developed principles of good practice for community foundations in Romania.
