About this grant

The program goal is to increase opportunities for participatory community development in Ukraine. To this end, the Kherson’s Regional Charity and Health Foundation will continue to support a network of community-based legal and information resource centers throughout Ukraine, enhancing their role as facilitators and incubators of active civic engagement. During the previous grant period, the grantee significantly improved an online portal to coordinate and integrate the activities of the legal information center network and expanded the network’s capacity to respond to urgent needs, including legal aid to internally displaced persons, as well as military personnel and their families. The grantee also produced a series of documentary films that appeared in human rights film festivals. Founded in 1989, Kherson’s Regional Charity and Health Foundation works to inspire citizens to take responsible action in order to promote the rule of law and democracy in Ukraine.
