About this grant
Located in the heart of Brussels, Philanthropy House will increase the visibility, effectiveness, and potential impact of the foundation sector in Europe. Through conferences, debates, trainings, and exhibitions, it will welcome visitors to discover the important work of independent foundations in Europe. Philanthropy House was conceived and supported by six foundations located across Europe. Due to open its doors in November 2013, Philanthropy House will provide office space for leading European-level philanthropic infrastructure organizations, including the European Foundation Centre, the European Venture Philanthropy Association, and the Network of European Foundations. Funding from the Mott Foundation will support: 1) information, communications, and technology costs; and 2) the exhibition area and resource center on the ground floor of Philanthropy House. Established in 1989, the European Foundation Centre is an international association of foundations and corporate funders dedicated to strengthening European philanthropy.
