About this grant
This grant to Alaska Children’s Trust will support the Alaska Statewide Afterschool Network to continue to build an afterschool and summer learning system that improves outcomes for children and youth through school-based or school-linked afterschool programs. Over the next three years, the network will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. Specific initiatives will include: 1) engage rural tribal organizations and their leadership across Alaska; 2) develop a plan to diversify funding to support the network; and 3) establish afterschool quality standards and youth worker core competencies for Alaska.
