About this grant

The financial sector and large developing countries have taken up a new and expanding role in development finance, including responses to global threats such as climate change. Given these changes, it is vital for civil society organizations in developing countries to craft more effective strategies to engage in the international, national, and local discussions on how to finance the transition to a low-carbon economy. Through this project, the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities will address these capacity building needs, particularly in China and Southeast Asian countries. In addition, it will assist with the development of policy strategies to address environmental and social standards for climate and development finance going into Asia.
