About this grant

This grant renewal will support the Instituto Centro de Vida, which is currently the secretariat of the Amazon Regional Network, to continue building capacity within its energy and infrastructure working group on the impacts of major development finance in the greater Amazon rainforest. In addition, the grantee will work with local communities in the Amazon’s Teles Pires and Tapajos watersheds to monitor and seek to mitigate impacts of a large hydroelectric complex planned in this, as yet, undeveloped region of the forest.
