About this grant
The project goal is to strengthen the field of philanthropy in the Western Balkans. To this end, the Catalyst Foundation will work regionally to promote the growth and improved transparency of the individual and corporate philanthropic culture in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia. During 2014-2015, the grantee will: 1) provide up-to-date and in-depth information, data, and analysis on philanthropy throughout the seven countries of the region; 2) promote the importance and impact of domestic donors and philanthropy to a broader audience; 3) strengthen individual involvement in and awareness of philanthropy; and 4) position itself as a stable and reliable knowledge partner to a broad range of philanthropy stakeholders throughout the region. The Catalyst Foundation was registered in 2013 in Serbia and is based in Belgrade.
