About this grant
This grant will support the continued development of the Flint Food Works Commercial Kitchen food business incubator located within the Flint Farmers’ Market. Flint Food Works has the capacity to incubate small food processors seeking to create nutritional products for distribution and prepared food for retail consumption. The kitchen offers a unique community benefit by providing nutritional education to residents on how to prepare healthy food that will mitigate the effects of lead. The project is managed by the Foundation for the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation’s supported organization, the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation.
