About this grant
The southeastern United States, historically an area of relative water abundance, has experienced rapid expansion of water stress in the past several years. Fortunately, much can be done to redirect the water-use trajectory of the Southeast to move toward a water future that is secure and sustainable. River Network, a national leader in supporting river and watershed organizations, will help local watershed organizations in the Southeast become a stronger voice for sustainable water management. Project activities will include the development and dissemination of a basic information package on water supply issues and the provision of technical assistance to watershed groups.
