About this grant
Foundation for Detroit’s Future was created in 2014 and is a supporting organization to the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, a public charity dedicated to Detroit-area philanthropy. The grantee works to lessen the burdens of government, combat community deterioration and improve quality of life of the general public in and around the city of Detroit through, among other things, conducting activities and programs, and providing support and funding to governmental entities, charitable organizations and others. This grant will provide partial support to preserve and protect the city of Detroit’s art museum as an educational and cultural resource, foster and promote the economic revitalization and fiscal health of the city of Detroit, and enable the city to fulfill its municipal financial and civic obligations. Support for the Foundation for Detroit’s Future comes primarily through donor contributions.
