About this grant
The Alliance for the Great Lakes, founded in 1970 as the Lake Michigan Federation, seeks to conserve and restore the Great Lakes freshwater ecosystem using policy, education, and local conservation efforts. The persistent, complex, ecological problems facing the Great Lakes require new approaches, which must be supported by a motivated and engaged citizenry. With Mott support, the grantee will assess the feasibility of a regional conference or other public platform for showcasing Great Lakes ideas and solutions in a way that increases public interest in these issues.
