About this grant

The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Center on Wisconsin Strategy conducts research and helps implement solutions for improving environmental sustainability across all sectors. The center provides technical assistance, leads public outreach, and hosts policy learning networks for state and local government executives. With previous Mott support, the center investigated ways to help state transportation agencies and city managers work together to reduce polluted stormwater runoff. This grant renewal will allow the grantee to build on its stormwater efforts and help Great Lakes cities improve how they also integrate the management of wastewater and drinking water systems. The center will conduct research, coordinate with partners, and develop educational materials to help cities, utilities, and community groups protect freshwater resources while also ensuring safe and clean drinking water is delivered to homes and businesses.
