About this grant
The Center for Neighborhood Technology is a nonprofit organization based in Chicago that designs and implements sustainable development strategies that help cities offer a high quality of life for residents. With prior Mott support, the grantee conducted a pilot program to help two Great Lakes communities adopt practices to address flooding and stormwater pollution, with special attention to protecting homes and businesses in vulnerable urban areas. With renewed support, the grantee will expand its programs to address broader water infrastructure challenges, such as providing safe and affordable drinking water to low-income families. The grantee will begin to develop replicable strategies that can bring multiple benefits to the Great Lakes region, such as protecting public health and reducing polluted stormwater runoff.
