About this grant
Founded in 1985, Citizens Campaign Fund for the Environment is a New York-based environmental nonprofit. The grantee has staff based in the City of Buffalo who focus on improving Great Lakes protection and restoration efforts. With prior Mott support, the grantee helped update New York’s Great Lakes Action Agenda (a state plan to address Great Lakes priorities); educated decisionmakers and the general public on Great Lakes issues; engaged in regional freshwater policy discussions; and expanded its outreach efforts. With this renewal, the grantee will continue this work and also help implement a water management plan for Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River; convene local and state stakeholders to improve municipal water infrastructure systems; and strengthen its organizational communications capacity.
