About this grant
The Michigan Environmental Council, a statewide coalition of more than 70 organizations, will help staff and organize support for the Re-AMP Local Solutions Working Group program, a network of over 150 organizations addressing climate change and clean energy issues in the Midwest. The working group is focused on building momentum for climate action at the local and metro regional scale. Specific activities will include: 1) tapping knowledge within the network to add capacity and deepen expertise on local solutions; 2) exploring and enhancing alignment with external groups and networks that work on local solutions; and 3) convening working group members to facilitate learning and exchange. Mott funds will also be used to organize and support a set of meetings among foundation representatives broadly interested in climate and energy work in Michigan and the Midwest.
