About this grant
The World Resources Institute was founded in 1982 to provide information, ideas, and solutions to global environmental problems. The grantee’s mission is to move society to live in ways that protect the Earth’s environment for current and future generations. The grantee recently completed a study on mini-grids in Tanzania, which revealed that there remain critical gaps that are negatively impacting progress in providing energy access. This renewal grant will support efforts to address these gaps in order to accelerate access to distributed renewable energy in rural Tanzanian communities.
