About this grant
Michigan Energy Options has nearly 40 years of experience in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sector and is the only clean energy nonprofit in the state with offices in both the upper and lower peninsulas. Municipalities and related organizations, such as municipally owned utilities, want to deploy more clean energy technology quicker than they currently are but have been slow to move in this direction due to a number of barriers. With general purpose funding, the grantee will help local governments and other stakeholders address such barriers, primarily in mid-Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
