About this grant
The program goal is to strengthen and expand community-based approaches to development and integration in Ukraine. Drawing on its long experience of working with community activists and civil society organizations in Ukraine, the Center for Civic & Cultural Initiatives "Tamarisk" will pursue work in three key areas to help consolidate the civic energy that emerged with Ukraine’s Maidan revolution. First, it will continue to build capacity of community activists and civil society organizations through its annual School of Positive Change and associated training programs and networking events. Second, through its Dialogue program, it will work systematically to link community activists with formal civic leaders through an intensive program of discussions and activities to identify and resolve local issues. Third, the grantee will pilot a program of cross-sectoral engagement in community development and decisionmaking in three communities. Established in 2001, the Center for Civic & Cultural Initiatives "Tamarisk" works to build capacity of community activists and civil society organizations in Ukraine.
