About this grant
This grant will enable Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights to operate as a regional coordinator, supporting organizations working to advance state and local children’s savings account policies and initiatives across the Great Lakes states. Funding will support several activities, including facilitating research and strategic communications projects; creating peer learning and networking opportunities for advocates and policymakers interested in children’s savings accounts; organizing and educating policymakers and other children’s savings account stakeholders; and providing technical assistance to practitioners and program administrators designing and/or implementing children’s savings account initiatives. Headquartered in Chicago, Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights is a comprehensive antipoverty organization that provides a comprehensive array of services in the areas of health, housing, and jobs, and leads state and national policy efforts which promote permanent solutions and lasting change for individuals and society.
