About this grant

With offices in South America, Asia, Africa, and the United States, International Rivers is one of the most effective international, nongovernmental organizations working on river protection. By partnering with local communities in more than 40 countries, the grantee is widely successful in promoting sustainable uses of fresh water around the world. Additionally, the grantee plays a major role in international efforts to reform the policies of public financial institutions. This project grant will support staff working on global and Andes-Amazon policy and ultimately will strengthen its work on international financial institutions, such as the World Bank Group, and national institutions, such as the Brazilian Development Bank.
