About this grant

The U.S. Water Alliance is a national nonprofit that brings together leaders representing utilities, business, government, and citizens’ groups to identify and advance broadly supported, practical, and achievable solutions to solve the country’s most pressing water management challenges. With Mott support, the grantee has brought together teams of local partners, anchored by a water utility, who are addressing water equity challenges in six cities nationwide. Three of these cities – Buffalo, Cleveland, and Milwaukee – are in the Great Lakes region. The grantee will take the lessons learned to date and begin the action and implementation phase of the project. Additionally, the grantee will extend the lessons it has learned in these six cities to address equity challenges in Detroit, Flint, and other Great Lakes cities.
