About this grant
This grant to United Ways of Texas will enable the Texas Partnership for Out of School Time to increase the availability of high quality afterschool and summer learning programs in Texas. Through this grant, the network will focus on raising awareness of the importance of afterschool programs with the education sector and business community by: 1) implementing a strategic communications plan highlighting effective afterschool programs in Texas; 2) connecting education, business, and workforce development sectors to increase workforce readiness among youth; and 3) developing a new public-private model in support of afterschool programming in the area of STEM. The network will share best practices with other state networks on connecting afterschool to state education and workforce initiatives.
