About this grant
This grant will provide support for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to operate and provide food and nutrition assistance at two community Help Centers in Flint. The Help Centers will centralize a variety of water resources — such as bottled water, filters, and cartridges — and human services at two locations in Flint that are accessible to residents. The Help Centers will be operated by the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan in partnership with several organizations already assisting residents as a result of the Flint water crisis, including area churches, Genesee Health Systems, United Way of Genesee County, Michigan Works!, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
