National Service and Volunteer Center Capacity Building

About this grant

This grant to the United Way of Genesee County will provide the additional capacity to support the integration of the national service programs with the launch of the Volunteer Center. National service members and volunteers provide needed human resources to area nonprofits, government agencies, and schools. Additionally, members recruit and train local volunteers who help meet a variety of community needs such as blight elimination, neighborhood engagement, and tutoring and mentoring. This expanded area of work aligns with the grantee’s mission to give, advocate, and volunteer.
