About this grant
This grant provides support for the Flint SOUP Community Funded Micro-grant Program. Funding will allow the program to expand its capacity to provide more opportunities for Flint residents to express their creative ideas, connect to the city’s broader entrepreneurial network, and offer technical assistance to innovators to help advance their concepts. Founded in 2012, Flint SOUP is a project of the United Way of Genesee County and has conducted more than 20 pitch competitions where creators and entrepreneurs can obtain small amounts of financial support for their projects. While the program is designed to support innovators, it simultaneously fosters community engagement through resident participation at pitch competitions.
