About this grant
The project goal is to support the long-term sustainability of Romanian community foundations. To this end, the Romanian Environmental Partnership Foundation will strengthen the fundraising capacities of Romanian community foundations, provide matching grants for institutional development and long-term reserve funds, and cooperate closely with other donors and support organizations to ensure timely and adequate support to community foundations. The grantee is one of the most effective grantmakers in Romania, and during the 18 years since its establishment, it has supported over 1,100 projects of more than 400 nonprofit organizations in the field of environment and community development. The grantee has been supporting the community foundation movement in Romania since 2009 by providing 23 grants totaling $575,000 to individual community foundations.
