About this grant
The Conference of Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Governors and Premiers is a nonprofit organization that facilitates cooperation between the governors of eight Great Lakes states and the premiers of two Canadian provinces. With Mott support, the grantee organized a summit in 2015 entitled, “Connecting Across Borders,” which convened governors and premiers to discuss ways to expand their collaboration to address Great Lakes challenges, such as halting the spread of aquatic invasive species. With renewed Mott support, the grantee will reconvene Great Lakes leaders over three days in Detroit, Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario. The summit is entitled, “Creating the Future,” and will focus on Great Lakes ecosystem health and new resource management tools, such as the Blue Accounting online platform.
